glöggt er gests augað -- sharp is the eye of the guest (...the mind, however, not so much).

reyk - airport - home

The last day in REYK. Packed up, walked the city. No pics. We had a lamb hot dog at a small stand which President Clinton made famous in a visit some years ago. Deep fried onion bits and brown mustard were a nice touch.

Chris had a wrestling match with the gas pump. The only instance the entire trip of a usability flaw ANYWHERE in the country.

The airport has a grocery store. Grabbed my last package of smoked salmon and made my way to the lounge to wistfully assemble a schmear.

Iceland is great on so many levels. Tremendous people, beautiful place. I can only conclude saying we had a great first trip and roughed out the itineraries for at least a few others.
